The 94 boat 2018 Etchells Worlds, held in Brisbane, was an epic event, which I
guess is fitting for the 50th year of the class.
After any event, we naturally consider what we might have done differently, with the benefit of hindsight.
Did we choose the right equipment? Could we have done more to learn about
local conditions and would it have helped? Should we have focused more on
starting practice?
Whilst reflecting on the event, I started speaking to a few of my friends in the class and I was really interested on their “take” on the event and what areas they felt were most important.
Despite being busy, I was determined to mentally “put a cap” on the 2018 Worlds for myself, before moving onto the next adventure. So, I polled the top place-getters. The result is here in this PDF document (155KB).
I hope it helps your sailing.
